February 3, 2006, Newsletter Issue #5: How to Detect Windows Registry Errors

Tip of the Week

Windows registry errors can wreck havoc on your computer. If your computer exhibits any of the following symptoms, performs a PC check-up to identify and fix possible registry errors.

Windows registry errors can increase the chances of system crashes, and make programs sluggish or unresponsive. Your system may take a very long time to start up (or in the case of serious problems, not start at all). Shutting down may also be a problem, as the hard drive whirrs incessantly, and the PC makes pathetic beeping noises at you. While these symptoms may also indicate a hacking attack, spyware, or a virus, don’t discount the possibility of registry errors.
